Statement of Independence

The Ruined Report is an independent publication without any formal, institutional affiliations. The Ruined Report is neither officially attached to nor a product of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and/or Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest. Accordingly, the views and opinions expressed on The Ruined Report are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official policies or positions of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, or any other entity.

Contributors

All FJVs and current JVs are welcome to submit guest posts and to join the team as contributors, editors, artists/photographers, and social media teammates. We expect blog members to be kind, gentle, loving, and respectful.

We will not tolerate writing that aims to hurt, exclude, or ostracize. Persons who make others feel unwelcome or engage in any sort of harassment or abusive behavior will not be welcome to contribute. Please feel free to email <admin@theruinedreport.com> to report such behavior.

Inclusive Discourse

We hope The Ruined Report can produce and foster thoughtful and compassionate discourse. However, if we ever publish something insensitive or problematic, or if you feel strongly against something we have published, please email <admin@theruinedreport.com> and let us know. We will either remove the content or fix it and cite our change. We value social justice and community, and we want our work to align with these values.

Comments

The Ruined Report does not take comments. We do, however, include social media sharing buttons on blog posts so that readers can share and discuss blog posts within their own online communities. Additionally, we run a Letters to the Editor feature to which all readers (FJVs and non-FJVs) are welcome to submit.
